Welcome and thank you for choosing Cary Psychiatry for your mental health needs! We are so excited to have you on board with us, and for the opportunity to become a part of your healthcare team. Please review all information before proceeding Insurance: We are only in-network with select Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and Cigna plans. We do not file for insurance plans we are not in-network with. – We are not in-network with any Medicaid plans (including Blue Home and United Healthcare Medicaid/managed care plans) or Medicare (including Blue Cross Medicare/United Healthcare Medicare). – We cannot accept patients who have Medicare, Medicaid, or Community Care plans (even if these are plans through BCBS/UHC). Self pay Rates: – New Patient Consultation (1 hour): $375 – Follow-Up Appointment (15-30 minutes): $200 *If a follow-up appointment exceeds 30 minutes, an additional $150 is billed per 15 minutes Cancellation Policy: If a scheduled consultation requires cancellation, we require a 48-hour written notice (or Thursday, if your appointment is on Monday) via email to our admin office. If a cancellation is made without 48-hour written notice, a late cancellation fee of $375 will be assessed. This is for any reason, including not reading office policies regarding insurance, age, and medication management. Medication Management Notice: Cary Psychiatry provides medication management only – we do not offer counseling or therapy. Per DEA requirements, patients must be seen by a provider every six months for maintenance (non-controlled) medication check-ins, and every 90 days for any controlled medication check-ins. ADHD Testing: We are scheduling ADHD testing remotely. ADHD testing is not billed through insurance, and is required if the patient is seeking an ADHD diagnosis. Our testing software is FDA Approved, and takes around 1-2 hours to complete at home for the patient. We do not offer standalone ADHD testing – it is only available as a precursor to a consultation. ADHD testing cost is $250 and is due at the time services are rendered. Results are provided in the consultation with your provider. Age Guideline Cary Psychiatry treats any individual in need above the age of 7. Cultural Awareness Cary Psychiatry is proud to support all patients regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Please see our office as a safe space in providing any preferred gender pronouns, religious, or cultural requests for your care. Appointment Location and Availability: All three providers are available for new patient appointments via virtual video/telehealth only. Availability for new patient appointments between 9am-12pm M-F. Emergency/Urgent appointments: We do not offer emergency appointments, and do not have any after-hours answering service. If you or a loved one is experiencing an urgent need for mental health support, please refer to your nearest crisis center, mobile crisis unit, urgent care, or emergency clinic. |
New Patient Scheduling Process
We take many steps to make sure your visit is as smooth as possible.

Step 1: Click the ‘New Patient Appointment’ button below and complete your request
Step 2: Listen for our call
- Within 5 business days of your request, we will call you to confirm your registration.
- Our friendly office staff will walk you through your portal set-up.
- Once we have your portal registration complete, we will assign three forms in your portal: New Patient Paperwork, Symptom Screener, and Clinical History Form. Completing these forms is required prior to scheduling an appointment.
Step 4: Give us a call!
- Once the forms above are complete, call us! We will schedule you for your consultation. The current wait time is around 1-2 weeks.
