Prescription Refill Requests

If you are in need of a medication refill please check with your pharmacy first.

Medications are best managed in an appointment where effectiveness can be assessed and possible side effects can be monitored. We aim to provide enough medication to last until time for the next follow-up appointment. If medications are running low, you may need to contact our office and schedule an appointment with your provider.

Please allow 2-3 full business days (48 to 72 hours) for medication refills to be processed.

Medication refills are made at the discretion of the provider and will not be authorized if an appointment is past due.

All refill requests are managed by office staff from Monday- Friday

Medication refills are not managed during the evenings or weekends when the office is closed.

Refills for controlled substances and stimulants are not provided if you have not had an appointment within the last 90 days.

Maintenance medications are not provided if you have not had an appointment within the last 6 months.

If you are outside of these parameters, you must contact our office to make an appointment.  Refills are sent in by the provider at the appointment.

To request a medication refill, please have your pharmacy fax their request to 919-234-0494.

If you are in need of controlled medications that do not have a refill, the pharmacy can request a new prescription for the medication via fax.
