ADHD is one of the most common psychiatric disorders in children and is manifested by inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity. The literature suggests that untreated ADHD early on leads to higher rates of substance abuse and poor self esteem later in life. At Cary Psychiatry center we take the time to comprehensively diagnose ADHD and propose a range of therapeutic, nonpharmaceutical, and pharmacotherapeutic interventions depending on the symptoms present.
